Designed by internationally acclaimed course designer, Peter Matkovich, and 2011 Open Champion, Darren Clarke, Multi-award-winning Pinnacle Point is one of the most unique and scenic golf courses in the world.

This Clifftop Fynbos Golf Course inspires the golfer to play a challenging layout with a level of respect due to its dramatic views and breathtaking terrain. The 72-par layout is characterised by 7 majestic holes that line the Indian Ocean rock cliffs, four of which are played over ocean and cliff. All 18 holes have been designed to fit the contours of the land. Other golf facilities include on-site putting greens, fully equipped Pro Shop, the Louis Oosthuizen Junior Golf Academy, & driving range located at the estate entrance.

Point Of Human Origins

Experience the awe of standing at the Point of Human Origins. Visit world-renowned archaeological site with early evidence for modern human behaviour. Excavations since the year 2000 of a series of caves at Pinnacle Point have revealed occupation by Middle Stone Age people between 170,000 and 40,000 years ago.

The focus of excavations has been at Cave 13B (PP13B), where the earliest evidence for the systematic exploitation of marine resources (shellfish) and symbolic behaviour has been documented, and at Pinnacle Point Cave 5-6 (PP5–6), where the oldest evidence for the heat treatment of rock to make stone tools has been documented. The only human remains have been recovered from younger deposits at PP13B which are ≈100,000 years old. Guided day tours (+/- 1.5 hours) by specially trained and knowledgeable guides, are available.

The Lodges boast breath-taking Indian Ocean views; The Villas range from 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom units ideal for both short and long-term stays. There are also 4-bedroom luxury Penthouses available which offer all the top-of-the-range finishes a family or small group would require.

All units have access to beautifully landscaped communal gardens as well as swimming pools which provide the perfect relief after a round of golf, or from the spectacular African Sun.
