Welcome to the March 2024 edition of Estate Living magazine, where we delve into the world of community living.
As we embark on this journey together, we are thrilled to present an array of captivating features that showcase the essence of estate living at its finest.
In this issue, we invite you to explore the diverse landscapes of the prestigious Pezula Golf Estate in Kynsna, boasting its unique 18-hole championship golf course and all of nature’s charm and allure. From breathtaking views the clubhouse offers to a curated selection of facilities, Pezula promises to inspire and enchant even those with the most discerning of tastes. To give you a glimpse of the beauty, you will notice the publication’s front and back cover form one continuous photo taken of the flagship view on the estate.
Beyond the architectural marvels and opulent residences, we delve into the heart of estate living, uncovering the stories of individuals and community management – like Clare Anna Fontein’s Marius van der Merwe – who are shaping the future of community living for residents; their tales offer a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of estate life.
In our exclusive interviews, we sit down with industry leaders such as renowned legal firm Garlicke & Bousfield as they expand the firm’s reach into the Cape, and Fenestra Asset Management, who share their insights and expertise on the latest investment trends.
You can also read about small towns that are embracing digital currencies, which could be reshaping the way we buy or sell goods.
As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of estate living, we also shine a spotlight on innovation, exploring the ways in which modern estates are embracing eco-conscious practices and cutting-edge technology to create truly sustainable communities for generations to come.
Our international feature focuses on Medine Property Group and their Smart City in the West of Mauritius, called The West; with residential precinct construction well under way, they have launched The Grove Apartments, starting from R2.3 million. This issue includes a review on the project, with more information available on www.estate-living.co.za/mauritius-spotlight/

We are also excited to announce that, through the acquisition of Estate Life, our additional digital platforms are being launched, with the first one being Trafalgar Online. Trafalgar Online is for residents living in a property managed by Trafalgar Property Management.
In April we will launch our weekly ‘Estate Living – Best of Retirement Living’ radio talk show. The show is a mixture of golden oldies along with insightful discussion around retirement living. From 1 April a link for the radio station’s streaming service will be available on the Estate Living website.
In closing, we extend our deepest gratitude to our readers, contributors and partners who continue to support Estate Living. It is our privilege to share these stories of elegance, sophistication, and unparalleled beauty with you, and we hope that each page inspires you to dream boldly and live passionately.
