Trellidor has launched two new products that provide solutions to the tension between the need to preserve the homogenous look of carefully chosen home designs and homeowners’ requests for permission to install security barriers on windows, doors or around patios.
These two products look similar to more robust products in the Trellidor range but have been specifically tailored around the needs of cluster housing, from golf estates to eco-estates to retirement homes.
The two new products are Trellidor Clear Guard and Trellidor Security Shutter in revised versions of the original burglar proofing with the same names. They offer similar benefits to their more robust cousins, including strength under attack, but have a lighter footprint.
“These two barriers look very similar to our high security barriers but are installed primarily for their good looks and add-on benefits rather than just for protection from an outside threat,” said Peter Rawson, Trellidor Marketing and Sales Director.

These add-on benefits include:
-
Trellidor Clear Guard framed mesh screens
- Keeps mosquitoes, monkeys and other pests out of homes;
- Helps to moderate internal temperatures;
- Stops petty theft through windows;
- Virtually invisible from the outside;
- Allows airflow into the home.
-
Trellidor Security Shutter louvre shutters
- Allows homeowners to control privacy from passersby;
- Lockable from both sides of the shutter;
- Stops petty theft through windows;
- Replaces curtains, blinds and burglar bars in one product;
- Allows airflow into the home
Both these products are custom designed to fit the window, door or patio opening, providing a neat and unobtrusive it. There is no negative impact on the design aesthetic of the estate and are a welcome solution for homeowners that want to be in control of their home safety.
