The launch of the latest generation Defender ushered in a new wave of connectivity and modern luxury comforts, expertly blended with the go-anywhere heritage that has made Defender the perfect companion for the adventurer whose endeavours are beyond the ordinary.
User-friendly features, practical touches and advanced technological innovations abound in the Defender, including a practical Folding Fabric Roof, ideal for game viewing during a self-drive safari, bird watching, stargazing under a clear African night sky, or simply enjoying an unobstructed view of South Africa’s scenic landscapes.
The electronically operated full-length Folding Fabric Roof, available as an option on the Defender 90 and Defender 110, provides an open-top feel that enhances the spaciousness of the Defender’s cabin, while also allowing passengers in the second-row seats to stand up when parked to provide a full safari experience.
The novel Folding Fabric Roof has three operating settings: closed, to shield occupants from the elements; half-open to allow a stream of sunlight or refreshing summer breeze into the cabin; or fully open for an unobstructed panoramic view of the sky.
The freedom of the open top comes with no compromise on the Defender’s dynamic roof-loading capacity of 118kg (300kg static), giving you the freedom to go out and make more of your adventure.
